Have questions about the insurance claim process? We break things down into 5 easy steps for our customers! Take a look at the graphic and a more-detailed description of each step below.
STEP 1: Connect with us for a FREE inspection. Fill out our Free Quote Form or call our office at
314-489-4686. Our Project Manager will schedule a time to inspect your roof and the exterior of your
home. If we do not find any storm damage, we'll let you know that, give you an assessment of your roof’s life span, and be on our way until you need us in the future. If we do find damage, we will document it with photos and discuss with you what we see.
STEP 2: Call your insurance agent. Simply tell them, “I had a roofing contractor inspect my roof and they found hail damage on it (or wind damage if that is the case). Can you send an adjuster out to take a look?” That is all the information your agent needs to get things started on their end. Typically, an insurance adjuster will be calling you within a few days to schedule an appointment.
STEP 3: When your adjuster calls, schedule an appointment with them and then let us know. You don’t necessarily need to be home when they do the inspection. Once that appointment is scheduled, it is important that you call us with the appointment information. We will meet that adjuster at the scheduled time so there are no miscommunications or missed items that have to be cleared up later. This step really streamlines the process and takes away a lot of the hassle.
STEP 4: If your adjuster agrees with our assessment, they will process your claim. You will soon receive a printed Scope of Work from your insurance that details what they are going to replace and how much they are going to pay for it. This will typically be accompanied by a check that covers about 2/3 of the claim. Depending on the insurance company, some homeowners receive this on the same day as the inspection and others receive it by mail within a week of the inspection.
STEP 5: Meet with our Project Manager and authorize an agreement. The agreement will detail the work you want us to complete based on the insurance company’s work scope. The ‘hard’ part is over now. We’ll have your home restored in no time!

Insurance Claim FAQ
I’m having a hard time getting other roofing companies to call me back. Do I need to get three estimates before selecting someone?
No, this is a common misnomer. The insurance company establishes the price for the work. Roady Exteriors (and any other reputable exteriors company) will complete the work for the price the insurance company sets. Because of this, a homeowner should choose the contractor they trust and want to work with. There is no need to hassle with multiple estimates and you don’t have to shop for the lowest bid.
